- Yangyang doesn't need any energy generation rate to have her ultimate available enough for most teams to make use of her concerto effect when they need it.
- But if you're playing Yangyang in teams that want to use her ultimate on cooldown or want to dedicate less field time to her perhaps only using her skill and Forte aerial plunge building some energy regeneation rate can assist with both of these.

Skill Priority

Weapons
Changli's signature weapon that's not only fantastic for her but also usable on all damage-focused Sword users who have a large portion of their damage originating from Resonance Skill damage. Offers a huge main stat of CRIT DMG% granting excellent scaling, 12% permanent ATK% and up to 56% increased Resonance Skill DMG% which should be at or close to full power during the bulk of your rotation when opening with one or two resonance skills.
Outstanding Sword choice, offering significantly higher base damage due to its 5★ rarity, as well as a stackable ATK% buff almost every character can effortlessly get 1 stack of (but with 2 also being easily achievable by most when played correctly). Additionally has a good amount of Energy Regen, which on most characters will allow one sub-stat of Energy Regen to be allocated elsewhere to increase damage even further. Best Sword choice across the board with only S5 4★ Swords having a chance to compete with it.
Sword option for Heavy and Basic ATK users with an easy to trigger passive - with the only downside being its 10 second time limit. For characters that use their Skill multiple times per rotation, this downside is a non-issue but for Main DPS characters who take up a lot of field time and don't use their skill often this sword can lose value.
Often inferior to Commando of Conviction for DPS, this sword is still a great F2P 4* option for characters who need the energy boost. Realistically however, only consider this option over Commando of Conviction if you have energy problems on your character.
Powerful sword for Resonators spending minimal time on the field - the shorter the better. Best for Hybrid characters executing their rotation fast and infrequently, but less powerful on Main DPS characters that aim to spend extended time on field.
Echo set
Echo set 1

5pcs Set: Upon using Outro Skill, increases the ATK of the next Resonator by 22.5% for 15s.
Equipping Yangyang with a 5 pc. Moonlit Clouds set allows her to be more support-oriented since using her Outro Skill will buff the ATK of the character swapping in for a couple of seconds.
Transform into Impermanence Heron to fly up and smack down, dealing 310.56% Havoc DMG.
Long press to stay as Impermanence Heron and continuously spit flames, each attack dealing 55.73% Havoc DMG.
Once the initial attack lands on any enemy, the current character regains 10 Resonance Energy. If the current character uses their Outro Skill within the next 15s, the next character's damage dealt will be boosted by 12% for 15s.
CD: 20s
Increases the next character's DMG dealt, good for a semi-support role for Yangyang.
Echo set 2

5pcs Set: Aero DMG + 30% for 15s after releasing Intro Skill.
If you want Yangyang to be more damage-oriented, use this set. However, will lessen the buffs given to Yangyang’s teammate, considering Yangyang only gives ER buffs with no DMG increases.
Summon a Nightmare: Feilian Beringal to attack enemies, dealing 164.16% Aero DMG. The remaining Whirlwind Beam will continuously attack surrounding enemies up to 5 times, each dealing 21.89% Aero DMG.
The Resonator with this Echo equipped in their main slot gains 12.00% Aero DMG Bonus and 12.00% Heavy Attack DMG Bonus.
CD: 20s.
Increases Yangyang's overall Aero DMG. Great when using Yangyang as a damage dealer. Use Feillian Beringal if you don't have access to Rinascita yet.

Yangyang is Carlotta's best option after Zhezhi if you aren't willing to quickswap a ton, thanks to her decent personal damage, her really short rotation time, her 20% ATK buff at S6 and her Outro which restores Energy to the incoming character, alleviating build requirements significantly.
Similarly to Carlotta, Xiangli Yao appreciates all of Yangyang's buffs and her really short rotation time, however Xiangli Yao's many swap cancel windows not only make her strong in a quickswap playstyle, but straight-up the best non-limited 5 star option if you can manage playing two characters at once. Yangyang falls off quite a bit if you don't quickswap though, so this pair isn't recommended to casual players.
Changli's the quickswap queen, and Yangyang's kit being fully compatible with quickswapping makes the pair quite strong, surprisingly, by virtue alone of dealing the damage of two characters at once. It can clear content with relative ease under that condition, but Yangyang falls off quite a bit if you don't quickswap and isn't worth the use. Therefore, it's not recommended to casual players.
One of the usual Healing Support options that can slot into any team. Super easy to use, provides amazing team-wide ATK% buffs and 15% DMG Amplify with one of the fastest rotations in the game.
Similar to Verina, a premium Healing Support option who can not only slot into any team, but also provide insane 12.5% Crit Rate, 25% Crit DMG, 25% ATK and 15% DMG Amplify buffs to your whole team. One of the best but also easy to use characters in the game.

Not recommended to casual players as this falls off significantly without quickswapping.

Yangyang's blue beret always has a delicate ribbon attached to its brim. It's her signature look, and a precious gift from her mother before she embarked on her journey.
To Yangyang, it symbolizes her mother's blessing and marks the start of her own journey. She holds onto the resolution she made when putting on the ribbon, determined to see it through until the end.

As Yangyang grew accustomed to the constant presence of Streams, she began to contemplate capturing the fleeting sound of the wind. With the help of Baizhi's modifications and innovative energy conversion technology, a device was created to store the Streams as visual and tangible information. Whether it be the gentle sound of snow falling on a mountain, an untold story, or a poignant moment that brings tears to one's eyes, Yangyang now had the ability to record these realities that her senses were attuned to.

Yangyang has been crafting wind chimes since she was a child, using polished jade crystals in the shape of birds as plectrums. Starting with just a few, she has now collected and gifted dozens of them to her loved ones. Each one is different, with intricate designs that evolve over time as Yangyang adds new plectrums and adjusts their placement. She sees it as a never-ending journey, with endless possibilities for interpretation. Despite not knowing what kind of melody the wind chimes will eventually create, Yangyang stays true to her original intention—a lifelong pursuit of perfecting her craft, just like her family's tradition of "One Instrument for Life."
